Bring International Day of Happiness in-house
Sunday March 20 is the International Day of Happiness. Celebrate by considering how the research on positive psychology can help your organization, and commit to at least one act of happiness.

The International Day of Happiness is a global event celebrated by the United Nations to highlight their development goals which seek to end poverty, reduce inequality, and protect our planet – three key aspects that lead to well-being and happiness.

There has been lots of research around positive psychology and the impact of "happiness interventions" on employee well-being and productivity. At the 2014 re:Work event, happiness expert Shawn Achor spoke about his own research and work with organizations. He said, "Scientifically, happiness can be a choice. But it's a choice that we can influence through our organizations. And when we do so, it becomes the greatest competitive advantage in the modern economy."

Be sure to check out Achor's blog on how, scientifically, happiness can be a choice. And to learn about how an organization supported programmatically the happiness of its employees, see this case study on Nationwide Brokerage Solution's work using positivity to drive productivity.
